To get a real feel for Chattanooga,

sightseeing trips on the Tennessee River; theme tours are available. There’s
nothing better on a colorful fall day or early spring.
About four miles west of the city, Raccoon Mountain Caverns offers an unusual stroll through amazing rock formations, and much more. Lookout Mountain, Rock City and Ruby Falls are must-sees but allow plenty of time to wind around the mountain to reach these popular attractions. The Incline Railroad is a little scary to look at but a wonder to behold, for it is one of the steepest railroads in the world.
The arts flourish here, and shopping is a pleasure at Warehouse Row Factory Shops, the outlet home to top designers. Formerly a warehouse area, it has been converted to an elegant indoor outlet center in downtown Chattanooga. Artists/entertainers who hail from here include blues singer Bessie Smith and the new singing sensation, Usher.
